GABF Services

The GABF is all about business. Our service offerings are targeted to the specific needs of our members:

·         Medium-sized and family-owned German businesses

The GABF is your “bridgehead” in Washington, D.C. We take time to provide customized advice which incorporates the “American way of doing business“. We work to develop a list of contacts in the greater Washington region which will be the most helpful for your U.S. business and help you to make use of these contacts for the benefit of your business venture. We also assist in developing and maintaining your individual contact network nationwide.

·         Medium-sized American companies and self-proprietors

The GABF is the bridgehead for business dealings in Germany. We explain the “German way of doing business” and help develop and maintain business networks in Germany or among German companies which are, or plan to be, active in the US.

·         States, cities and public organizations – in Germany and the U.S.

The GABF is a “match maker”. We create new, or breathe life into, existing business partnerships between economic regions and cities on both sides of the Atlantic. We bring together organizations and political entities and support them in the design and implementation of innovative “business concepts” which encourage a long-term stimulation of the economic cooperation between the companies in the relevant partner regions.

·         Large companies, government agencies and ministries – in Germany and the U.S.

The GABF is the resource to improve your understanding of the nature of transatlantic business partnerships in the 21st century. We provide insights into transatlantic business that are targeted to promoting and supporting business activities in both Germany and the U.S.

The GABF follows the basic principles of pragmatism and effectiveness. Our basic model is the GABF.DIALOG, a serious discussion forum in the classical sense where we lay emphasis on listening to and understanding others in view of differences in language and culture in order to reach common solutions. We favor discussions in small groups which follow the rules that all meetings must have an agenda and a concrete result and conclude in no more than two hours.
